Laura McArtor What sets Laura apart as a web designer is the combination of her strong business background and her creative eye for design. She built her business foundation working in the financial services industry for such firms as Merrill Lynch & Co. and Harris Bretall Sullivan & Smith. She has a deep understanding of business strategy and customer needs having worked in sales and marketing positions in Washington, DC, Richmond, VA and San Francisco, CA.

Clients say that Laura is invaluable as a designer and developer because she truly understands their big-picture goals while she simultaneously focuses on the necessary details of design. Laura’s understanding of visual design as a business solution allows her to create sites that are eye-catching, streamlined and functional.

Part of what makes Laura’s job so much fun is the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients and industries. She has built successful sites for clients in many diverse fields: fashion, law and yoga, to name a few.

Laura grew up in Memphis, TN and is a 1989 graduate of the University of Virginia with a B.A. in Philosophy. She became a Certified Professional Web Designer in 2003. She currently resides in San Francisco, CA where she enjoys hiking, yoga, collecting local art and taking classes from French to feng shui.
